قصة الفيلم
الجانب البغيض لمدينة طوكيو، يُرى بالأساس من خلال عيون أوسكار، مدمن مخدرات شره، وشقيقته ليندا راقصة تعرٍّ. كما يسترجع أوسكار ذكريات طفولته عندما قلبت الصدمة حياة الأشقاء رأسًا على عقب. تُغيّر هلوسات أوسكار، التي يغذيها تعاطي المخدرات، ليالي طوكيو المُقلقة أصلًا، وبعد أن تُطلق الشرطة النار عليه، يُمكنه أن يطفو في السماء وينظر إلى أسفل: إلى حزن شقيقته، إلى غرف فندق الحب، وحتى إلى الحياة على المستوى الجزيئي. قد تكون ألوان الطيف جميلة؛ لكن حياة الناس عديمة اللون قد تكون قبيحة. وماذا عن الحياة الآخرة، هل هناك أكثر من مجرد فراغ؟
